Save the Date: 2nd KIMed Network Partner Forum in Dresden – Prospects for AI in Medicine in Saxony

Under the theme “Prospects for AI in Medicine in Saxony,” the KIMed Network invites you to the 2nd Network Partner Forum in Dresden on April 30, 2026.

The KIMed Network Partner Forum takes place twice a year in person and serves as a strategic platform for exchange among stakeholders from university hospitals, research institutions, industry, and the healthcare sector. The goal is to systematically identify the innovation potential of artificial intelligence in medicine, develop concrete use cases, and initiate sustainable collaborations between academia and practice.

The 2nd Network Partner Forum will focus on specific applications of artificial intelligence in clinical practice and medical research. Discussions will center in particular on the requirements, framework conditions, and structural characteristics that shape AI applications in a medical context, as well as how they differ from traditional commercial applications. The perspectives of physicians and clinically active researchers will be a central focus of the event.

Invited speakers include Prof. Dr. med. Tjalf Ziemssen, Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Center Dresden, and Dr. med. Jan Eckardt, Co-Group Lead for AI in Cancer.

In addition to expert presentations, the event will feature an interactive panel discussion as well as opportunities for interdisciplinary exchange and networking.
