Knowledge Sharing and Exchange of Experience in KIMed
A key objective of the KIMed network is to promote the systematic exchange of expertise on topics such as Artificial Intelligence in medicine, data use, and regulatory frameworks. The aim is to create structured links between scientific knowledge, clinical requirements, and industrial innovation processes.
To achieve this, KIMed regularly organises specialist events and provides quality-assured information resources. Our network partners gain access to up-to-date, scientifically sound knowledge as well as an interdisciplinary forum for exchange that actively facilitates and accelerates collaboration.
Together, we strengthen data-driven health research and the innovative capacity of the healthcare sector in Saxony and beyond.
Our Knowledge Transfer Services

Our Event Formats
KIMed Network Impulse – After-Work Seminar on AI and Medicine
Through our webinar series Network Insights, we bring together interdisciplinary stakeholders working on the application of Artificial Intelligence in medicine.
In short keynote presentations, partners from the KIMed network introduce their projects, experiences, and questions—ranging from the development of new AI solutions to their application in clinical practice.
The moderated discussion that follows provides space for questions, exchange, and new perspectives. In this way, direct links are created between development and application: companies gain insights into clinical needs, while clinicians learn about current technological possibilities.
The format is aimed at both KIMed network partners and external participants who wish to build connections, contribute their expertise or explore new opportunities for collaboration around AI in medicine.
KIMed Network Partner Forum
The KIMed Network Partner Forum takes place twice a year as an in-person event and serves as a strategic platform for exchange between stakeholders from university medicine, research institutions, industry and the healthcare sector.
Its aim is to identify innovation potential for Artificial Intelligence in medicine, develop concrete use cases and initiate sustainable collaborations between science and practice.
The focus is on scientifically grounded insights, practice-oriented use cases and open dialogue on data infrastructures, interoperability, regulatory frameworks (e.g. MDR and the EU AI Act), quality assurance and implementation strategies. The forum provides a professional setting in which technological developments and clinical needs are systematically brought together.
Network partners have the opportunity to present their own projects, technologies and development approaches, openly discuss collaboration needs and jointly develop funding and knowledge-transfer perspectives.
The KIMed Network Partner Forum therefore actively strengthens the translation of AI-based innovations into clinical practice and supports the development of a high-performance regional and supra-regional innovation ecosystem.
Upcoming event dates can be found on the Home page and in our event overview.
